Home of North Point Welsh Ponies North Point Ranch is a diversified farming/breeding operation. From timber, wheat and cattle in Oregon to Welsh Ponies, Appaloosas and cattle in California. Excellence isn’t born, it’s bred. Our goal is to breed Section B Welsh ponies for pleasure and show with the disposition and athletic ability to become exceptional children’s mounts. Our ponies compete successfully at the local Open Shows, as well as the Welsh Breed shows. It is important to us that our ponies have the true Section B type with correct conformation, movement and the wonderful minds that the Welsh Ponies are known for. We are standing the Section B Stallion, Dry Creek Master Vandal LOM. He is quickly proving himself to be a fantastic show pony and sire. His first foal, North Point Glory Be is absolutely gorgeous and beyond any of our expectations. Vandal’s show record is quite impressive for a young stallion, with Supreme Championships in halter and Division Championships in driving and performance. Vandal is a wonderfully correct mover with impulsion from the rear, suspension, extension and freedom in the shoulder. He has that charismatic personality that is unforgettable. North Point Ranch has been given the opportunity to stand the Appaloosa National and Reserve National Champion stallion Ima Mcloud, His outstanding pedigree, which features already proven champions, and his progeny record speaks for itself. Mac’s gentle disposition is passed on to his babies, along with his beauty and conformation. Mac stands at 16:2 hds, and has substantial bone and feet. He is a wonderful asset to any breeding program. Our object is to breed and sell quality Appaloosas. Please feel free to inquire about our wonderful ranch horses that we have for sale. We offer the finest range ready bulls for the commercial cattleman. We also offer heifers and steer calves for the 4-H/FFA projects. Our cattle are available all year long. They are raised in a tough environment and are expected to maintain weight, flesh and good, strong feet. We maintain an excellent vaccination program and have a strict selection criteria for our cows. All inquiries are welcome. North Point Ranch also offers a variety of guided hunts or adventures on our ranches in Oregon and California. The ranches in Oregon cover almost 22,000 acres, from pine trees and dense forest, to ridgelines and high plateaus, with a maze of game trails throughout. These ranches are perfectly situated to access a variety of white tail and elk habitat, bear and turkey. The size of these ranches allows us to better manage hunting and we never schedule back to back hunts in any particular area. The California ranch is situated on the Central Coast, with excellent wild hog and varmint hunting. Whether you prefer hunting with a rifle or a bow, you are sure to get the opportunity to get a reasonable shot.
